Katie Comes to Visit!

This weekend my oldest friend Katie came to visit from Cleveland. We went to the Botanical Gardens on Friday and then had dinner with Mitchell & Colleen. On Saturday we went to the Arch and actually rode to the top. Hadley didn't mind it but Katie and I hated it! We wanted to go back down as soon as we got to the top. Thankfully Todd snapped pictures quickly so that we could have a memory of what the view was like.

Sleeping

As everyone knows, Hadley was born with a TON of hair! As she's gotten older, it has gotten longer and thicker; there are no bald spots on this girl. It's so long now that it's starting to grow down her neck and make teeny tiny pony tail.

Hadley has discovered her hair in the past couple of weeks and when she sleeps, she likes to grab a handful of it and hold on to it. We have no idea where she gets this from but it's definitely a character trait.

Hadley's New Trick

Hadley is just under 3 months old and she's already learned so many new things! We are so proud of her and just love to watch her! Here is a video of her newest talent . . . rolling! She hasn't mastered rolling over completely but she's got the one-sided roll down to an art!

Belly Time

Hadley is getting better and better about spending time on her belly and also with holding her head up. We are proud parents!! She has also discovered that her arm, hand and usually mom's shoulder taste excellent! Here she is enjoying some belly time and gnawing on her arm!

A Kendall Family Photo Shoot

Hadley turned 2 months on July 5 so we made an appointment to have her pictures taken at Portrait Innovations in Chesterfield Valley. We also thought it would be great to have some pictures taken of her cousins. It was a lot of fun and exhausting. Hadley didn't fuss until the very end but she refused to smile even once. We still think the pictures turned out cute!

Flowers

We tried out a new outfit today that daddy had picked out a few months ago. While I was trying to take Hadley's picture to send to Todd at work, she was completely distracted by the flowers on her skirt. She wanted nothing to do with looking at the camera!

2 Months Old

Sunday was Hadley's 2 month birthday! Today she went to see the doctor. She is now weighing in at 12lbs 15oz and she's 23 3/34 inches long!! She has gain 2.5lbs since her last visit and grown an inch! No wonder she's wearing her 3-6 month clothes!! The doctor said she's doing great. Since she's really fussy today from the shots, here is a picture of her on the actual 2 month birthday!!

The Big Explosion & Grants Farm

Yesterday Todd had the day off in observance of 4th of July so we made plans to go to Grants Farm with our friends the Hamiltons. Unfortunately we were over an hour late to meet them because Hadley had an outrageous poop explosion. It was beyond belief. It started with pee all over her changing pad. It ended with green poop on the changing pad, the carpeting, Todd, all of the lotions in her basket, her kleenex box, the lamp shade, and the wall. It was even behind her dresser! It's hard to explain exactly what happened but what I will say is that this type of situation can only occur when you have no diaper covering a pooping baby that decides to do her business with a spray-like force! It's a good thing we had a good sense of humor about it because it was a crazy situation. Here is a picture of Todd after all was said and done!

Once we got everything washed, cleaned and Hadley bathed we were able to meet Dawn, Jason, Kylie and Reagan for Grants Farm. We had a great time and really enjoyed seeing Kylie and Reagan enjoy all the animals. Hadley was great and cruised in her stroller the entire time. We are looking forward to more outings like these as Hadley grows up!
