Family Time

This weekend Todd's cousins from Chicago were in town. It was great to see them although our time with them was brief. After our wonderful lunch, Hadley decided to spit up half her bottle and we decided family fun time was over. We think she just got a little too hot and overwhelmed. She hasn't seen that many Kendalls at the same time!

Tyson & Preston (the cousins) were so nice! They brought Hadley some cute clothes for the summer. She is pictured in the yellow frog one that she's wearing today.

On Sunday we went to Rob & Alyson's to celebrate Nana's birthday. Hadley spent almost the entire day there! She went in the morning to hang out so that mommy and daddy could go a couples massage and then to run some errands. She had so much fun that she slept until 6:20 on Monday morning!! Thanks Uncle Rob & Aunt Alyson for tiring her out!

While we were at their house, our niece Keira did some karoke for us. There is a video attached of her singing happy birthday. She's quite the singer! Uncle Rob also did some posing for the camera!

Growing Like a Weed!

Tonight we tried some new jammies on while our favorites were in the wash. This pair just happen to be 3-6 month and mommy was sure they would be WAY too big. NOT!! Hadley's feet have a little more room but her legs and arms fit in them perfectly! She is only 7 weeks old and she is already in 3-6 month jammies! She's been wearing her 3 month onesies since 3 weeks but we didn't know she was this big. Crazy! Here are some pics of her modeling the new pjs.

Sitting on the Couch

Hadley is so big now that she can sit up on the couch . . . well, kinda! At any rate, she's cute to look at while she's propped up!

Chillin' on the Bed

Hadley LOVES to chill on our bed. Sometimes she sleeps and sometimes she "talks" to the ceiling fan. Today Todd propped her up on the pillows wearing her special outfit for his birthday. It has a fish on it!

Being Like Daddy

Today is Todd's birthday! Happy Birthday, Daddy!! Here are some pictures of Hadley doing what daddy loves best . . . watching t.v. and holding the remote! Ahh, she IS a Kendall!!

This Is How I Sleep

Please note, this is not how we put Hadley to bed. We are responsible parents that put our child safely at the top of her bed and it's inclined to help with spit up. However, our child is a mover and this is how we find her most mornings. I have no idea how this is remotely comfortable but she's sound asleep. :)

Our friends The Wades visited us last night and brought Mexican dinner to celebrate Hadley's arrival. It was delicious and we enjoyed catching up with Tom, Lisa & Evan. Thanks again for coming over!

Monumental Night!!

There is no picture to accompany this post but it's important nonetheless. Hadley slept through the night last night! We went to see Dr. Skoultchi on Tuesday and he gave us the all clear to let HER wake us up instead of us waking her for feedings during the night. Of course Tuesday night she decided to sway from character and she was up at 1:15, 4:30 and 5:45. Last night, however, was different. We gave her a bottle at 9pm, got her into bed at 10:15 (while she was still drowsy) and she did not feed again until 5 am!! Not only did she sleep through the night, she got herself to sleep and when she stirred a few times during the night, she soothed herself and went back to sleep.

I have to say that it still wasn't my best night's sleep since I was a little freaked out that she didn't wake up but it was definitely better than being up for at least an hour during the wee hours of the morning. Thank God for sleepy babies and I pray that this continues!!

Bathtime, Funtime

Hadley really likes taking her baths. If the bubbles get around her mouth, she especially likes sticking her tongue out to taste them!

After her bath, her daddy likes to do her hair. Here are some pictures of daddy's "hairstyles."

Hadley's New Friend

Saturday night our friends Brian, Jenny and their daughter Madison came over for dinner! We had a great time catching up and talking about how much we love our little girls. Hadley slept for most of the evening but managed to wake up in time to put her pjs on and meet her new friend, Madison.

Grandma's House

We visited Grandma today at her house. It was Hadley's first time there. She really made herself at home and pooped twice!! Mommy ran out of wipes because Hadley also made a pee diaper! The good news is that she did nicer things at Grandma's like reading a book and swinging in the jungle swing. Hopefully Grandma will have her back even though she left her house smelling.

Happy 1 Month Birthday

Today, June 5, is Hadley's 1 month birthday! We celebrated a belated cinco de mayo by going to dinner with Grandma at Senor Pique. It was delicious! Check out how big Hadley is getting!

Sleeping Like A BABY!!!

Hadley is such a good sleeper! And look how cute she is when she does it!

Eating the Gym

Today we broke out the little gym from Grandma to practice with tummy time. Instead of lifting her head, Hadley was more concerned with tasting the mat. Oh well! She will get the hang of it one of these days!

Big Girl Day on June 1

June 1 was a big day for Hadley!! She had tummy time on her surfboard in the afternoon. She did it for only a few minutes, but I was greatly impressed with her skills!

After Todd got home, we gave Hadley her first bath in her little bath tub. She did great for the first half and then once daddy washed her hair, she got very angry and was done with the bath. Afterwards, she was cute, cuddly and smelled REALLY good!

And finally, last night was Hadley's first night in her crib. I was a little sad that she is already big enough to move out of our room but proud of her for making it the whole night in her own room. Plus, she's a really noisy sleeper so mommy got more sleep with her in her own room! She enjoyed the bigger space A LOT!! When I checked on her during the night and again in the morning she had moved from the end of her crib to the middle, kicked off all her blankets and had turned herself to face another direction. How she did it, we do not know!!
